Respect & Dignity in Our Work

Cara Junior School is committed to creating, maintaining and enhancing a positive work environment where work is done in an atmosphere of respect, collaboration, openness and equality.

Behaviour which undermines dignity at work, including adult bullying and harassment, is not tolerated. The school recognises that all employees have the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

All members of the school community have a duty of care to themselves and each other. Respectful, open and equal relationships are the expected norm.

How Concerns Are Handled

Accepted procedures are used to investigate and deal with allegations of harassment, bullying and other inappropriate behaviour. Procedures focus on the earliest possible resolution and proceed from informal to formal stages where necessary, with an emphasis on confidentiality.
